This booklet on how to do decoupage was published in 1966 and the hairdo on the author's photo proves it! We call it Altered Art now-a-days, but cutting out paper images and gluing them to a non-paper surface has traditionally been known as decoupage. It is an art form that has been around since the 17th Century, probably originating in Venice and then spreading throughout Europe.
